Billy P. Stanage Jr., AIF®, CPFA



Billy Stanage Jr. founded the Wealth Management Group, LLC, in 2002 to help small business owners, individuals, and professionals pursue their financial goals. As a registered financial advisor in the state of New Mexico, Mr. Stanage is committed to helping clients increase and preserve capital through an extensive line of products and services, including diverse financial experience and personalized service.

Mr. Stanage, a native New Mexican, began his business career alongside his father at Valley Welder Supply Company, their family business founded in 1936. For 22 years, his father taught him how to operate a business utilizing the values of hard work, discipline, and justice for all. In 1994, these same values captured the heart of Mr. Stanage’s business operations assistant—now lovely wife Tiffani, a New Mexico State graduate—during a Lobo vs. Aggies football game.

In 1996, Mr. Stanage lost his business mentor. He says, “I lost the best father, friend, and business partner I would ever have.” Despite this tremendous loss, he was determined to start a new chapter of business development and improve New Mexico’s business community. Mr. Stanage sold Valley Welder Supply Company and became a wealth management advisor.

In 2002, Mr. Stanage founded the Wealth Management Group, LLC (WMG), dedicated to providing innovative financial strategies that help clients pursue high investment returns with the lowest amount of risk. He became a member of the Million Dollar Round Table-Top of the Table by 2007. Today, he strives for the WMG experience to be synonymous with responsive financial client services that help small business owners, individuals, and professionals pursue their financial goals. From the small business owner benefit needs to 401(k) trustee planning,  WMG is committed to helping clients achieve their long-term financial objectives.

When Mr. Stanage is not working for his clients, he is inspiring youth leaders to pursue their personal goals. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf with his daughter. Mr. Stanage is the founder of the League of Exceptional Gentlemen and maintains active roles in the Sandoval County Business Builders Kiwanis Club and the Million Dollar Roundtable-Top of the Table.

He says, “I’m committed to living up to the business values my dad exemplified.” With the help of the entire WMG team, Mr. Stanage continues to set higher standards of performance, while building a community force to be reckoned with.

Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is an independent membership organization of life insurance and financial service professionals. Membership levels are based on commissions, premiums, or fees generated within a year from investment and insurance products. Members must apply annually and pay a fee. Members must be in good standing of a Professional Association which has met the following criteria: in existence at least 2 years, have 100 or more members, must be a nonprofit organization, must have a code of ethics, and an effective means of dealing with breaches of its code. Bill Stewart, AIF®

Investment Advisor Representative


Bill Stewart, an investment advisor representative, has been a member of the Wealth Management Group (WMG) for nine years. He is responsible for designing customized employee benefit plans that pursue small business needs. Bill enjoys helping clients learn about financial regulations that influence their long-term financial goals. He has the ability to help small business owners design a diverse financial plan that seeks to produce capital, manages risk tolerance, and ethically minimizes costly tax burdens.

Prior to joining WMG, Bill applied his education in sociology from Texas Christian University to long-term sales associate and management positions. When Bill is not helping clients plan their financial future, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two and a half children, including one international exchange student who currently lives with his family. Bill is an active team member of Albuquerque’s 30/30 Ice Hockey Club and the Rotary Club of Albuquerque Del Norte.

Ruthie Castellon

Chief Operating Officer


Ruthie is an intricate part of the strategic decisions of Wealth Management Group, from client acquisition and coordinating expansion efforts to operations management. With more than 15 years of experience in the fields of client relations, public policy research, project management, budgeting, and finance, Ruthie brings a wealth of talents to her position. Those skills, combined with her passion for planning, decision-making, and organizing processes, ensure that Wealth Management Group’s operational standards are met. Ruthie is dedicated to delivering outstanding client service, effective quality control, and timely administrative processing. Through her continued analysis of internal processes, we can measure, model, improve, and optimize the client experience. 

As a native New Mexican, Ruthie has a deep commitment to supporting the culture, people, and vibrant lifestyles of New Mexico.  Her work here with Wealth Management Group is a direct extension of that desire to help foster the prosperity and opportunities available within the community.  She plans to continue helping New Mexicans learn about Wealth Management Group’s extensive product and service lines in order to assist them in pursuing their vision of financial security and to support our beautiful Southwestern community.

Brianna Moreno


Brianna Moreno attended Rio Rancho High School and graduated in 2004. She was a manager in the food and beverage industry for more than 10 years with an emphasis on customer relations and quality service. 

Brianna focuses on learning about clients' needs and then finding the best way to serve them, both as an individual or a group. Building a long-term relationship with clients and becoming someone they can trust is her ultimate goal in business. 

Brianna has three incredible children, where the importance of family is always at the forefront. 

Gina A. Trujillo

Operations Coordinator


Gina joined Wealth Management Group (WMG) in November 2014 as our director of first impressions. She oversaw making sure all our clients who visited the office had a positive experience. With her warm smile and outgoing personality, she was a natural!

With the expansion of our practice, opportunities for Gina to utilize more of her many skills came available. Gina is now our operations coordinator; her responsibilities now include the execution of workflows expediting the processing of client forms in the most timely manner.

Gina is a key player for our WMG team. With the vast corporate experience she gained from more than 25 years with Intel, Gina keeps all of us organized and focused on the job at hand. 

Gina majored in geology and minored in archaeology, then earned her associate degree in health information management from North American University, graduating magna cum laude in February 2013. In her rare spare time, Gina enjoys camping and the outdoors, opera and theater, her family and friends, and is a passionate animal advocate. To this end, she fosters dogs for the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico.

Ashley Sandoval

Operations Analyst


Ashley Sandoval is the director of first impressions at Wealth Management Group, LLC. She has more than seven years of providing quality customer service in various settings, including retail, health care, and within the small business industry. Ashley is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing communications and requests. She provides assistance to all staff in the business. As the first person to interact with clients, Ashley knows the importance of building lasting relationships and enjoys providing each client with an outstanding and positive experience. 

Nicole Mares

Senior Operations Analyst


Nicole joined Wealth Management Group in November 2018 as the director of first impressions. In this role, she performed a variety of functions to ensure efficient operations of the office, including answering and routing phone calls, greeting clients, e-document filing, and supporting the chief operating officer with various projects and tasks as needed. Within a short time, she was moved to operations analyst, where she oversees accounts payable, runs the day-to-day operations for various brokers, and is a key player in delivering high-quality customer service for clients.   

Prior to joining Wealth Management Group, Nicole has worked in various capacities as a director in sales, marketing, project management, and office administration. The experience Nicole brings plays an integral role in the success of the company as well as the client experience. Her ability to communicate effectively, attention to detail, and caring approach in relating to clients allow for exceptional frontline customer service.  Nicole enjoys spending time with her daughter and family. She also enjoys exploring New Mexico, loves to cook, and enjoys trying new recipes and foods.
